Eleanor C. Dahlin

HOLDEN- Eleanor C. (Peterson) Dahlin, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 8 at UMASS Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family. She leaves her husband of 55 years, Robert C. Dahlin; a daughter, Karen A. Dwyer and her husband John of Sterling, a son, Paul R. Dahlin and his wife Lynn of Sutton; four grandchildren, Andrea M. and Gregory J. Dwyer of Sterling and Leah E. and Steven P. Dahlin of Sutton. She also leaves a brother, John W. Peterson and his wife Mary Lou of Sutton and a sister Lillian V. Peterson of Sutton; several cousins, nephews and nieces. A sister, Shirley Dulude predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of John B.R. and Almeda E. (Skogsberg) Peterson and graduated from Commerce High School in 1948. Eleanor worked at the Worcester Central District Courthouse and for Joseph G. Pirani Electrical Contractors in Holden. She was a former member of the Quinsigamond United Methodist Church. Eleanor enjoyed vacationing in Wells, Maine and also spending time at the family home on the Cape Cod Canal. The family would like to thank the staff at UMASS Memorial West Wing One for the wonderful care which their mother received.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 15 at LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler Street, Worcester. A visiting hour will be held on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service. Burial in All Faith's Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for breast cancer research through the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Attn: Donor Services, PO Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309.
