Eleanor M. Donovan

WORCESTER-Eleanor M. (Courtney) Donovan, 96, passed away Wed., Dec. 26.

Eleanor has joined her beloved husband, John J. Donovan who died in 1989. She leaves her daughter, Maureen F. and her husband John F. Burke of West Yarmouth and Marco Island, FL; her grandson, John D. Burke of South Boston; nieces and nephews, among them her caregivers, Barbara Mahoney and her children, grandnieces and grandnephews. A brother, Francis Courtney and a sister, Elizabeth Birch predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Michael and Hannah (Mahoney) Courtney and graduated from Commerce High School and Saltus Secretarial School.

Eleanor worked as Office Manager at R.H. White Department Store for many years before retiring. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church.

A Funeral Mass will be held Sat., Dec. 29, at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 25 Fale St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. There are no visiting hours.
