Eleanor (LeClaire) Erickson, 89, passed away April 22, 2024, at Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center where she lived for the last 7 years. She was known for her warm and friendly personality, always ready to share a joke and bring a smile to those around her.
Eleanor was born on June 12, 1934 in Auburn, daughter of the late Ozellia M. (Flibbert) and Alfred Le Claire. After attending high school, Eleanor embarked on a dedicated career as a press feeder for Woodbury & Company in Worcester, where she devoted 26 years of her life.
Eleanor had a variety of interests that brought joy to her life.. As an avid candlepin bowler, she found pleasure in the precision and skill required for the sport. She also enjoyed activities like knitting, crocheting, and cross-stitching and was an active member of St. Richard's Parish in Sterling. In her leisure time, Eleanor explored nature by hiking around the reservoir and cherished moments spent at the beach. Eleanor had a special place in her heart for her "grand dogs", never missing one of their "shows" as their biggest fan. She especially loved when she was able to dog sit for them when her daughter and son-in-law were away. Above all, she cherished family connections and loved engaging with relatives whenever possible.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon L. (Erickson) Pasquale and husband Vincent N. of West Boylston as well as many nieces and nephews who will cherish fond memories of their aunt. Eleanor was predeceased by her beloved husband, Warren R. Erickson, in 1959. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Dorothy McInnes of Worcester, Georgianna Jordan of Leicester, Frederick Le Claire of Oregon, Stanis LeClaire of California, Edward LeClaire of Virginia.
