Elizabeth (Betty) A. (Ollis) Berthiaume Grimley, 77, of 24 Francis Ave., died Saturday, November 17, in her home after an illness.
Her husbands, Guston N. Berthiaume died in 1953 and Frank R. Grimley died in 1968. She leaves four sons, Jeffrey N. Berthiaume, and Timothy O. Berthiaume both of Worcester; Thomas P. Berthiaume of Stuart, Florida and SFC Shaun F. Grimley of Hyannisport; two daughters, Marietta E. Stansky of Worcester and Elizabeth A. Dacri of Holden; Four Sisters, Kathryn O. Hale, Esther L. Casey, Marietta O. Foster all of Shrewsbury and Helen T. White of Winter Haven, Florida; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. A son Stephen C. Berthiaume and a brother William Ollis and a sister Frances L. O?Donnell all of Worcester predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of William H. and Loda S. (Brigham) Ollis. And lived in Worcester for 67 years moving to Shrewsbury 10 years ago.
She was a crossing guard for the City of Worcester at St. Nicholas Ave. School, while there She touched many lives by making mittens and hats for the children. She then was a manager at Micro Networks cafeteria in Worcester and Digital cafeteria in Shrewsbury and then worked at John and Sons Dell in Worcester, retiring in 1991.
She attended Commerce High School and was a member of Christ the King Church in Worcester.
The Funeral will be held Wednesday, November 21, from Fay Brothers Funereal Home 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston; with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Christ the King Church 1052 Pleasant St. Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Tuesday, November 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to UMASS Memorial Hospice 43 Harvard St., Worcester, 01609 or the Boston Catholic Television 55 Chapel St. Newton, MA 02460.
