Elizabeth A. (Wynne) Flynn, 89, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Tuesday, July 11, 2018 at the Rose Monahan Hospice House.
She was the wife of the late Richard M. Flynn who died in 1996.
She was born in Worcester on January 8, 1929 a daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Browne) Wynne who emigrated to the United States from County Kerry, Ireland. Betty was raised in Worcester, graduated from St. Peters High School and worked for many years in the Cafeteria Department of the Worcester Public Schools.
Betty was happiest when surrounded by her family and she was the life of every party and family gathering. She will be forever missed by her relatives and all whom had the privilege to call her a friend.
She leaves her loving children, Michael Flynn, Daniel Flynn and his wife Lynda, Richard Flynn and Kerry Quitadamo and her husband Michael; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Melissa, Patrick, Conor, Tara, Mikaela, Thomas, Peter and Timothy and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen Flynn.
At her request, funeral services will be held privately and are in the care of Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168 or by visiting www.dana-farber.org in memory of Kathy Flynn.
