Worcester- Elizabeth A. Mitchell, 93, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 12, 2016 to join her late husband Paul M. Mitchell.

She leaves a daughter, Betteanne Kuhnen and her husband, Walter H. Kuhnen, MD., of Warren, PA; a son, Paul M. Mitchell Jr., and his wife Elizabeth (Perriello) Mitchell of Berlin; three grandchildren, Brendan Mitchell and his wife Brigette (Rouilliard) Mitchell of Northboro; Brittany (Mitchell) Barber and her husband Craig Barber of Boston and Marissa M. Kuhnen D.M.D. of Boston and four great grandchildren Madilynn and Reece Mitchell both of Northboro and Brooklynn and Bradley Barber of Boston.

Her sisters predeceased her Catherine Wackell, Margaret Connole, Helen Palumbo and Rita Dean. She was also predeceased by her brothers Albert and Joseph Connole.

Betty was born in Worcester, Mass the daughter of Dennis and Margaret (Considine) Connole and graduated from Commerce High School. She served honorably during World War II in the coast guard in the intelligence unit, before marrying the love of her life, her husband of 63 years Paul Mitchell.

Betty loved her family especially her many nieces and nephews, her exercise group and St. John's Church family particularly her coffee group.

During her last years, Betty received special comfort from her neighbors John Lewis, Madeline Leases, Kevin and Ednie Doherty.

Betty's funeral will be on Friday, September 16th from CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00am in St. John's Church, 44 Temple St., Worcester. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, September 15th from 4:00pm until 7:00pm in the funeral home. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Church, 44 Temple St., Worcester, MA 01604
