Elizabeth Sheehan

WORCESTER- Elizabeth "Betty" (Pilibosian) Sheehan, 85, of Worcester, passed away peacefully, July, 11 2010, at Colony Homes III in Worcester, Ma. Her husband Ralph E. Sheehan predeceased her in 1974. She leaves two sons, Michael E. Sheehan and his wife Suzanne of Pensacola, FL and Patrick G. Sheehan and his wife Paula of Worcester; four grandchildren, Nicole Anderson and her husband Jesse of Ewa Beach Hawaii, Kellie Sheehan and her boyfriend Robert Wagner of Dayville, Connecticut and Elizabeth and Joseph Sheehan both of Pensacola, FL. She also leaves a great granddaughter Analei Lilly Anderson in Hawaii. A brother, George Pilibosian and a sister, Anna Taraian predeceased her.
Betty was born in Worcester, daughter of Krikor and Haigainoosh (Gergoian) Pilibosian. In 1998 she graduated from Quinsigamond Community College. Mrs. Sheehan was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Worcester Courthouse in the Naturalization Department for 16 years.
She had a fun loving zest for life and was actively involved in many community organizations such as; the International Center, a representative for Avon, President of the Red Hat Society, devoted member of Armenian Church parish, Avaks and the Worcester Senior Center. She was caring, compassionate, down to earth, and easy to talk to. She was a person with such inner strength who served her community, church and family. Betty was granted the opportunity to meet her first great grandchild all the way from Hawaii, Analei Lilly before her passing. She will greatly missed by many.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:30AM on, July 17th, in the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Armenian Church of Our Savior, 87 Salisbury St., Worcester, 01609 or to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St, Worcester, 01606.
