WEST BOYLSTON-Elizabeth Grace Walker of West Boylston. Formerly of Worcester died peacefully at home Tuesday January 14 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth (Bette) to all, was born August 26, 1932, in Colchester Vermont to Robert and Eldora (Dudley) Desorda. Her beloved husband of 63 years, Phillip E Walker died November 11, 2013.
Bette graduated Horace Mann from Commerce High School in 1949. She was a secretary from 1950 until she retired in 1998. She was of strong faith and a communicate of St. Georges Church 1961. She was a Eucharistic Minister & taught Christian Doctrine Classes.
Bette leaves behind 2 children, Bruce Walker and his wife Joan, Theresa Collette and her husband Richard Collette, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, as well as her son Wayne in 2023 and her sister Beverly in 2013.
Bette loved spending time with her family and she loved to laugh. She and Phil loved to travel and were so fortunate to have done much of it throughout their years together. Bette and Phil had a magical relationship their love was known by all who knew them. Bette exemplified goodness, she was the kindest most gentle and loving person to all she met. She lived every minute of her 92 years with a smile on her face and an overwhelming love and faith of God in her heart.
A Funeral Mass for Bette’s family will be held Tuesday, January 21 at 10am in St. George’s Church, 40 Brattle St. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. There are no visiting hours.
