Ellen M. Zelesky

NORTHBOROUGH-Ellen M. (Kokernak) Zelesky, 66, died Saturday, December 29, 2018 at UMass Memorial Medical Center.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Edward F. and Helen E. (Forhan) Kokernak and graduated from Shrewsbury High School and The Salter School. Ellen worked at the former State Mutual Insurance Company, now Hanover Insurance, for many years. Family was very important to Ellen and she cherished the time they spent together. Ellen enjoyed gardening and vacationing in York Beach, Maine. She loved animals and always had pets, most recently her two rabbits Jake and Katie.

She will be dearly missed by her daughter Jessica A. Brooks and her husband Charles of Milford, two grandsons, Trevor and Eric, her brother, Gerald J. Kokernak and his wife Ann of Sterling, her sister, Ann M. Cleary and her husband Joseph of West Boylston, and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Kokernak and her sister, Janice M. Kokernak.

Funeral Services and burial in St. John's Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ellen's memory may be made to Sterling Animal Shelter, 17 Laurelwood Road, Sterling, MA 01564.
