Elsie Rivera Ramos

Elsie Rivera Ramos, 73, passed away on February 9, 2024, in her home with her family at her side. Born on May 3, 1950, in Catano, Puerto Rico, daughter of Teodora (Rivera) Reyes and Santiago Ramos Cruz. 

Elsie's life was filled with love and devotion to her family.  She leaves behind her children, Nelson Rivera, Efrain Fernandez, Luis Fernandez, Jocelyn Coleman; her oldest sister, Maria I. Ramos, her younger brother, Orlando Ramos and his wife Mariana Figueroa Avilis; 10 grandchildren and 10 nieces and nephews. She cherished these relationships and found great joy in seeing them thrive.  She was predeceased by her husband, Orlando Rivera; a son, Jose Rivera; four brothers, Rosendo “Reiny” Ramos, Santiago “Chago” Ramos, Nelson Ramos and Eduvino Ramos.

Elsie was known for her funny and caring nature. She was always willing to give what she didn't have and placed her family first. She was known for her intelligence and remarkable ability to share her wisdom with those around her. Her family and friends often sought her advice and appreciated her insightful perspective on various matters. She had a passion for watching soap operas and cooking. These hobbies brought her joy and allowed her creative spirit to shine. She would often whip up delicious meals for her loved ones, creating an atmosphere of warmth and happiness in her kitchen.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Elsie's life with visitation on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home located at 61 Myrtle St, Worcester, MA 01608. The visitation will begin at 5:00pm and conclude at 8:00pm.
