CHARLTON- Elton C. Banfill, 82, passed away peacefully to heaven on Saturday December 10, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital, with his loving children and grandchildren by his side.
He will now be reunited with the love of his life, Ruth Ann (Lavallee) Banfill, his wife of 59 years.
Elton worked at Arduini Sheet Metal for 25 years and then worked at Montrose Wire for 30 years until retiring.
He will be remembered for his love of life, his love of NASCAR the Patriots, Red Sox, dancing, playing cards and animals. He enjoyed watching his son William race cars at the Thompson and Seekonk Speedways for many years and watching his great grandchildren play. He liked spending time with family at cookouts. Elton enjoyed spending his last three years with his daughter, Beverly and son-in-law David. He loved going to the casino where he liked to push the buttons, playing cards and will be missed by everyone. His passing leaves a hole in our hearts but his loving and caring soul will not be forgotten.
He leaves his daughter, Beverly A. Fowler and her husband David of Charlton; his son, William Banfill and fianc%C3%A9 Francine of Worcester; his daughter, Donna Banfill of Worcester; two grandchildren, Belinda Weaver and her husband, Peter of Worcester and Robert Hendrickson and fianc%C3%A9, Colleen of Worcester; seven great grandchildren, Tyler, Abigail, Zachary, Brooklynne, Isaiah, Savannah and Ava.
He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Debra Ann in 1958 and his beloved wife Ruth Ann (Lavallee) Banfill on March 31, 2016.
His daughter Beverly would like to thank St. Vincent Hospital Dialysis team for taking care of him for the last 3 years. A special thank you to the vitals transport for the trips to and from his dialysis. A thank you for the compassion given from the wonderful staff at the Masonic Home where he lived, and a very special thank you to one of his most compassionate and loving nurses, Peggy.
A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 14th at 11:00am in the LINDQUIST- LUNDIN Funeral Home, 36 Butler St., Worcester. A visiting hour will precede from 10:00am until the start of the service. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery.
