Emilia R. Carrigan

WEST BOYLSTON-Emilia Rose (Borci) Carrigan 82, died peacefully surrounded by family in her home on May 7, 2024.  

Emi was born in Worcester on July 25, 1941 to Donata (Monopoli) and Joseph Borci.  She graduated from Commerce High School in 1959 and went on to graduate from Worcester State University with a degree in Elementary Education.  After graduation Emi married John “Jack” Carrigan and taught in the Millbury School System. She then went on to work as an adminstrator for over 30 years at Central Massachusetts Safety Council. Her husband of 48 years, passed away in 2011.

She leaves three sons, John Carrigan his wife Liza and their two children Joseph and Samuel of Holden, Joe Carrigan and his former wife Karen and their two children Ryan and Keli of West Boylston and Christopher Carrigan and wife Brook and their five children, Anna, Sydney, Katherine, Sloane and Carson of Raleigh, NC;  two brothers Joseph Borci and wife Rebecca and Gaetano and Priscilla Borci both of Port Charlotte, FL. and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 10 from 12:00-1:00pm in Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston St. A Graveside Service will follow at 1:30pm in Mount Vernon Cemetery.
