Emily Margaret (Ford) Canane, 96, passed away on Wednesday, March 9. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Charles E. Canane, two brothers and a sister. She is survived by her brother Martin J. Ford, of Guilford Connecticut, her son Michael of Worcester, daughter Noralee of Upton, son Charles and his wife Janet of Vernon, Connecticut and her grandchildren Jennifer and Christopher both of Alexandria, Virginia. Emily was born July 5, 1908, grew up in Uxbridge, MA, graduated from Worcester Memorial School of Nursing in 1931, and was a Registered Nurse, who did private duty and nursing home care. She was a resident of Worcester since 1928 and a founding member of Saint Charles Borromeo Church. Emily was a dedicated, accomplished nurse, a loving wife, and a caring, nurturing, compassionate mother and grandmother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 12 at10:00 am at Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June Street, Worcester. Visitation will precede the Mass between 9:00 to 9:30 am at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester.
