Emily Voultsos, 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Holy Trinity Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center.
Emily was born in Millbury, Massachusetts on February 6, 1923. She was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Efthimia (Loulis) Vaultsos. Emily was predeceased by her four sisters, Helen, Gerrgia, Mary and Ourannia "Ora" Voultsos.
Emily graduated from Commerce High School Class of 1942. She worked as a bookkeeper in Worcester for many years. In the last 3 years, Emily was compassionately and beautifully cared for by her friends on the Nursing and CNA staff of Holy Trinity. She will be missed by her friend Barbara and by her longtime neighbor and friend Dave Quist.
Emily enjoyed traveling the world with her four sisters, reading novels, and watching Shirley Temple movies. Emily was truly one of the most kind and soft spoken women you could have ever met. She had a unique ability to make everyone smile, often without saying a word. She was also an extremely forgiving person who always managed to see the qualities in everyone she met, and encouraged others to do the same.
A funeral service celebrating Emily's life will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 22nd at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St., Worcester. A visiting hour in the church will precede at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery. Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be sincerely appreciated by the Holy Trinity Nursing Home Resident Activity Fund. (Attn: Malka Sebag 508-852-1000)
