WORCESTER- Enrique Martinez, 60, passed away suddenly on Sunday July 12, 2020 at UMass Medical Center.
He was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico on June 16, 1960 a son of Carlos Martinez and Leonarda Vicente. He was raised and educated in Puerto Rico before leaving in his teens to settle in Massachusetts. Enrique, who also went by the name of Coldi, loved being a family man. He took pride in being a dad, a grandfather and a husband. Coldi loved to be very well dressed even if it was to sit all day in the living room, his collections of hats (fedoras) were his go to for every outfit. Dancing was also a passion, he taught every single one of his children his moves. If he wasn't in the house you could find him outside fixing his cars and keeping them clean. Coldi was very well known for his funny sayings. "Como se le va?" was his favorite. He was welcoming and always made everyone feel like they were a part of the family.
A very well known and loved man, he leaves behind his loving wife of 30 years, Norma Martinez; his children Maria Poso, Enrique Marinez Jr (Macho), Jesus Martinez (Pito), Brenda Martinez, Maria Martinez (Isa), Tanysha Martinez (Tany). His grandchildren Alexavier Martinez, Sheilianiz Martinez, Steven Poso, Leilani Poso, Amaya Poso, Jayden Marinez, Jesus Martinez Jr, Yandel Melendez, Yarieliss Martinez, Lenismal Suarez, Luismael Suarez, Avah Davilla. He also leaves behind his brother Carlos Martinez (Pichi).
Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on Friday, July 17th with visiting hours from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A Funeral Service will follow beginning at 6:00pm. Burial will be held privately.
