HOLDEN-Eric W. Brunell, 46, of Holden passed away Thursday, February 29 in his home, surrounded by his family.
He leaves his loving wife of seven years, Kimberly A. (Coxall) Brunell; three amazing children, Wesley Brunell, Lillian Robinson and Brady Robinson all of Holden; his parents, William and Jean (Ferguson) Brunell of Shrewsbury; his sister, Lisa Brunell of Shrewsbury; many aunts, uncles and cousins to whom he was known as the “patriarch” of his generation. He was born in Worcester, graduated from Shrewsbury High School and Quinsigamond College and worked for many years as a dispatcher for United Rentals.
Eric was a loving husband, father, son and brother whose greatest pleasure was found in spending time with his family and friends. He gave the best hugs and had a huge heart. He was extremely generous with his time, love and laughter, always willing to do anything to help people. If he couldn’t help you, guaranteed he “knew a guy.” He enjoyed the Devil’s Lettuce, loved the Boston Bruins and also the New York Yankees (due to the questionable influence of his most cherished childhood friends).
Visiting Hours are Tuesday, March 5 from 2 to 5pm with a Prayer Service at 5pm in Callahan Fay Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help in the research of colon cancer at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute c/o www.dana-farber.org
