Ermengildo Giobellina

WAYLAND-WEST BOYLSTON- Ermengildo Giobellina, 89, of Wayland, formerly of West Boylston, died Thursday, May 10. His first wife Lee (Celeste) Giobellina and his second wife Patty (Sweet) Giobellina predeceased him. He leaves his stepdaughter, Ellen Poissant in South Carolina; a sister, Mary Goretti of Paxton; several nephews and nieces, William Viano of Sterling, Joseph Giobellina, Angela Giobellina, Cathy Bjorklund and Maria Folckermer, all of West Boylston, Maria Goretti of New York City, Paul Dumas and Chris Goretti, both of Worcester, Mark Goretti of Oxford and Michael Goretti of Rutland. He also leaves several great nephews and great nieces. He was predeceased by a sister, Catherine Giobellina, a brother, Joseph Giobellina, Sr. and a niece, Diane Williams of Holden.

He was born in West Boylston, son of Fortunato and Angela (Viano) Giobellina and graduated from Boys Trade School as a machinist. Mr. Giobellina was a shift supervisor at the Watertown Arsenal. After retiring he owned Juby's Removal Service and his nephew, William Viano joined him as a partner in 1979.

The funeral will be Saturday, May 12 from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston Street, W. Boylston with a Mass at 9:00 AM in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., W. Boylston.
