Esmeralda Rosa Perez, 84, passed away February 23rd, 2025 at The Life Care Center of Auburn after a brief illness. Her beloved husband of over 50 years, Pedro Perez~Crespo, passed away in November of 2024.
She leaves behind many that will miss her dearly including her five children, Elvis Perez and his wife, Norma of Worcester, Steve Perez and his companion, Kim Wilson of Worcester, Lissette Santana and her husband, Jose of Leicester, Kathleena Lawton of Worcester and Peter Perez and his wife, Krystal of Worcester; eight grandchildren, Antonio Santana, Nya Santana, Martika Perez, Angel Perez, Edwin Aldea and Steve Perez, Jr. Chloee Perez and Julian Perez and several great-grandchildren.
Born in Loiza Aldea, PR she was the daughter of the late Serafina Pizarro and Tomás Rosa. For well over thirty years, she dedicated her time and passion to caring for the elderly as a CNA which brought her much joy. She loved to crochet, do puzzles, cook authentic Puerto Rican food and occasionally try her luck at the casino. She would often be found relaxing in her swing, soaking in nature and all of it's sounds and beauty. She had a special fondness for birds, with red cardinals being her favorite. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Family and friends are welcomed to a celebration of Esmerald's life on Friday, February 28th, 2025 with visiting from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. A funeral service will begin at 12:00pm in the funeral home with burial immediately following in St. John's Cemetery 206 Cambridge Street, Worcester.
