WORCESTER-Estelle M. "Babe" (Kershaw) Breault, 81 of 4 Hathaway Street died Sunday, October 19th surrounded by her family. She leaves her husband of 64 years, Theodore W. Breault, a daughter Ruth A. Blair, her son, William T. Breault and his companion, Wendy P Lucier all of Worcester; 3 grandchildren, Debra M. Lockwood of Worcester, Julie I. King of Barre and Jessica L. Leterneau of Webster; 6 great grandchildren, a niece and nephew. She was predeceased by her brother, First Lieutenant Paul E. Kershaw, U.S. Infantry who died in 1945 in France, the Battle of the Bulge and her sister, Katherine McCarthy died in 1993.
She was born in Worcester daughter of George A. and Mary A. (Scanlon) Kershaw and was a lifelong Worcester resident. Estelle graduated from Commerce High School and was an accomplished dietician working in area rest homes and nursing homes for many years. She was a senior aide for Catholic Charities and for the last six years worked at Jeremiah's Inn where she prepared meals for the residents, whom she affectionately thought of both residents and staff as an extended family. She was presented with an outstanding employment award in 2000 and loved going to work every day. Her life was work and family, she loved them all. Estelle enjoyed the beach, especially Nantasket Beach where she spent many summers with her family. She also loved spending time with her family for the Holidays and special occasions and is tenderly referred to as "Nana" by all.
The funeral will be Wednesday, October 22nd from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 9 Hammond Street with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Peter's Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 21st from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Jeremiah's Inn, 1059 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01610.
