Esther G. King

WORCESTER- Esther G. (Grogan) King, 95, died Friday, September 12 in Notre Dame Long Term Care Center. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Walter J. King in 1982. She leaves two sons, Vincent P. King of Auburn and Clifford T. King of Worcester; her daughter, Elena A. King of Worcester; four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Frederick and Helena (Sheehan) Grogan and graduated from Commerce High School. She was a longtime member of St. Stephen's Church, the Order of St. Francis and the Jolly Jill's. Esther was an avid reader, loved music and enjoyed playing the piano. The family would like to thank the staff at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center for the wonderful care that their mother received.

A visiting hour will be held on Monday, September 15 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in Callahan & Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. The funeral mass will follow at 10:30 AM in St. Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
