WORCESTER-Eugene F. Cronin, 85, of 36 Leeds St. died Monday, July 3 at home.
He leaves his wife of 24 years, Mary Y. (Muise) Cronin; a daughter, Elizabeth Cronin-Wilder of Spencer; a son, John Cronin of Sutton; a step-daughter, Lisa and her husband, Peter Durant of Spencer; a step-son, Robert Bradshaw of Spencer; five grandchildren, Sean, Megan, Leana, Dale, and Kyle; a sister, Mary T. McGuire of Naples, FL; his cat, Stanley, nieces and nephews. His first wife, Marjorie Cronin died in 1980 and a brother, John J. Cronin also predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester the son of Eugene F. and Anna L. (Vail) Cronin and graduated from St. Peter's High School. He was a Navy veteran of WW II. Eugene served as a Worcester Police Officer for 33 years before retiring. He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church and was a former member of the Alhambra Knights of Columbus %2388.
There is no visiting hours and funeral services are private. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
