Worcester: Eugene T. “Eddy” Flynn, 69, died Saturday, December 3 in his home after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 32 years, Suzanne M. (Lorusso) Flynn, a brother Anthony Corrado and his wife Inna of New Jersey, a sister Rose Collazo and her companion Steve Lipshitz of Bronx, New York, two brothers-in-law; Mark Lorusso and his wife Lynn of North Oxford and Scott Lorusso and his wife Kelly of Worcester, two sisters-in-law; Nancy Goolishian and her husband Bill of Worcester and Sharon Lloyd and her husband James of Worcester, his mother-in-law Joan Lorusso of Worcester, several nieces and nephews and his three beloved dogs; Edouard, Teddy & Harley.
Eugene was born in Bronx, New York, son of Thomas Flynn and Theresa (Bocchichio) DiLonardo who predeceased him. He was a registered nurse for many years at St. Vincent Hospital in the Oncology Department, he then worked for several years at Adcare Hospital before retiring. He also worked for several years at many area nursing homes. He enjoyed music, going to the casino, vacationing in Aruba and spending time with his family.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday, December 12 from 5:00-7:00 PM in Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. The funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 13 at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart-St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 596 Cambridge Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester.
