Eva A. Cundall

WORCESTER-Eva A. (Berard) Cundall, 78, of Tatnuck Park, formerly of Farmington Street, died Saturday, April 23, 2011 after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Cundall on July 16, 2001. She leaves four children, Steven E. Cundall and his wife Pam of Hyannis, Jo Ann Savage and her husband Ed of Worcester, Mary A. DeFlavio and her husband Steve of Cary, NC and Sue Michaud and her husband Bill of Charlton; ten grandchildren, William, Joe, Rachel, Jennifer, Luke, Amy, Andrew, Brieana, Nicole and Amanda and one great granddaughter, Grace. Eva also leaves a brother George Berard of Worcester; three sisters, Doris Dufresne and her husband Lefty of Worcester, Joan Wackell and her husband John of Millbury and Luci Gilberg and her husband John of Worcester; and many nephews and nieces. A sister Beatrice predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Andrew and Agnes (Lucier) Berard and graduated from St. Stephen's High School. Eva worked as a telephone operator for New England Telephone for 30 years. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and the Red Hat Society. Eva was a life-long Red Sox fan and was thrilled when they won the World Series in 2004 and 2007. She also enjoyed bowling and her many jobs at Tatnuck Park.
Eva's greatest passion was her family and especially spending time with her ten grandchildren and new great granddaughter. She possessed a very quick wit and wonderful sense of humor which brought endless smiles and laughter to her family, friends and extended family at Tatnuck Park. Eva's family would like to thank the incredible people at Tatnuck Park and the tender and compassionate staff at Beacon Hospice and Care with a Heart.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 26 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street with a 10 AM Mass at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting hours are Monday, April 25 from 3-7 PM in the funeral home.
