Eva M. Kopoyan

WORCESTER: Eva M. (Bilezerian) Kopoyan, 88, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was married for almost 44 years to her beloved husband John, who predeceased her in January 2003.

She is survived by her daughters, Claire DiCicco (husband John) and Kathryn Turner (partner Paul Charette) as well as her grandchildren Danielle Foster (husband Hunter), Dylan Beaulieu and Mateo DiCicco.

Born in Worcester of Aram S. and Vincenza (Vicalvi), she graduated North High School, worked at Fairlawn Hospital for over 18 years as a payroll supervisor and then at Green and White Towing Company for 16 years as a bookkeeper.

She was very devoted to her faith and her Armenian culture. She was a member of Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church where she served on the Board of Trustees as treasurer for 6 years. She also served as President and Treasurer of the Ladies Guild, was a member of The Daughters of Vartan, and served 4 years as Chair of the National Association of Ladies Guilds.

Her favorite association was with the Seniors Club at Holy Trinity Armenian Church serving as Treasurer/Secretary for the 25 years it was in existence. During that time, she and her husband John planned 27 bus trips for the group including Fall Foliage Tours, Boston Lobster Cruises, trips to Canada, Atlantic City and more. She was the last surviving member of the Club.

Eva loved being active and social whether it was volunteering for church events (usually in the kitchen or at golf tournaments), or playing cards, going to lunch or travelling on day trips with her friends.

Dearest to her heart were her family and her joy of cooking and baking. She constantly offered an endless supply of Armenian meals and treats. She enjoyed playing Scrabble, Uno, Dominos, Skip-Bo or Rummikub and was very competitive! Mostly though she loved being surrounded by her loved ones.

Calling hours will be held from 5 until 7PM on Monday, October 5 at Callahan Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A Funeral Service will take place at 11AM on Tuesday, October 6 at Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 635 Grove Street Worcester. Please meet directly at the Church.
