WORCESTER-Evelyn E. Robinson, 97, died Friday, March 28 at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center in Worcester, where she had resided since 2003. She was born February 23, 1911, in St. John, ME, the daughter of Registe and Olive (Michaud) Jalbert.

Mrs. Robinson received degrees from the University of Maine and the University of Hartford. She was a teacher of English and Mathematics who excelled in her fields for forty-five years. She was renowned for helping all students achieve their greatest potential in life. Her teaching career began in 1934 at Fort Kent, ME, continued at Madawaska, ME, and Bristol, CT, to conclude more than four decades later at Worcester State College, where she eventually became chair of the Mathematics Department (1970-1977). She was a member of Christ the King Parish in Worcester, where she served as lector.
Mrs. Robinson leaves two sons, Brother Robert Robinson of St. Joseph's Abbey, Spencer, MA, and James Robinson of Simi Valley, CA. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl Walter, in 1954, and by a son, Carl Joseph in 1940.

A visiting time will be from 9:45 AM to 10:00 AM, on Monday, March 31, at Notre Dame du Lac Chapel, 555 Plantation Street, Worcester, where a Mass will be celebrated on the same day at 10:00 AM, followed by a reception.
