Evelyn I. (Ulfves) Wallman, 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 24th at Care One at Millbury.

Her husband of 68 years, Raymond O. Wallman passed away in 2009.

She was born in Worcester on May 23, 1922, a daughter of the late Harry and Ellen (Omen) Ulfves. Evelyn attended local schools and graduated from Worcester Girls Trade.

For many years Evelyn worked as the caterer at the Scandinavian Athletic Club (SAC) Park in Shrewsbury. Mrs. Wallman was a member of the VFW Post 3657. She served as past president for both the SAC Park and the VFW Post 3657. Evelyn enjoyed playing bingo and card games with friends and was an active member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. She was also the cook at the Millbury Diner for several years.

She leaves behind her daughter, Jackie R. Nichols and her companion, George Gamble of Worcester; a sister, Alice Belcastro of Danvers; two grandsons, Brett Nichols and his companion, Nanci Poulack and James Nichols and his wife, Maureen; seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her brother, Everett Ulfves and her sister, Bernice LeBlanc.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Care One at Millbury and Trinity Hospice Program for the exceptional care she received.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 28th at 12:00 noon in the LINDQUIST-LUNDIN Funeral Home, 36 Butler St., Worcester. A visitation will precede the service starting 11:00am. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood St., Worcester, MA 01607.
