Everett G. Hammerstrom

W. YARMOUTH-Everett G. Hammerstrom, 88, formerly of Worcester died Fri., Dec. 10 in Cape Cod Hospital. His wife of 58 years, Lillian M. (Renaud) died in 2000. He leaves a son, Gordon A. Hammerstrom, nieces and nephews.

He was born in Worcester son of Carl G. and Alma (Pettersson) Hammerstrom and lived many years in Worcester before moving to W. Yarmouth. Mr. Hammerstrom was an Army veteran of WW II. He worked for the IRS in Andover for many years before retiring. He was a member of the Disabled American Veteran's Association and a 50 year member of the American Legion.

The funeral will be Thurs., Dec. 16 at 11:00 a.m. in LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. Burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery. A calling hour will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on the morning of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Special Olympics, 450 Maple St., Danvers, MA 01923.
