WORCESTER
Fernande (Merchant) Perreault Gleason, 87, of 57 Blue Bell Road, died Saturday, August 6 at home. She was predeceased by her first husband George J. Perreault in 1942 and her second husband, Daniel Gleason in 1961. She leaves 2 sons, George J. Perreault and his companion, Karen Vitale, both of Worcester, Leo J. Perreault and his wife Therese A. of Sutton, a brother, Stuart Merchant of Auburn, a sister, Alma Smith of Holden, three grandchildren, George J. Perreault, Jr. of Grafton, Fern Masse and Leo J. Perreault, Jr. both of Sutton, six great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, many nephews and nieces. A brother Charles Marchand of Oxford predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Desire J. and Josephine L. (Dionne) Merchant. Fernande enjoyed taking care of her home for her family. She also enjoyed puzzle books, watching television and Nascar racing.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, August 9 at 11:00 AM in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street. Burial is in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Monday, August 8 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
