Florence Bancroft

West Boylston-Florence H. (Vernowsky) Bancroft, 90, passed away Monday, October 16 at the Knollwood Nursing Center, surrounded by her family.

Her husband of 59 years, Robert S. Bancroft died in 2003. She leaves two sons, John Bancroft and his wife, Linda and Bruce Bancroft and his wife, Vikki; six grandchildren, Jason, Jessica, Matthew, Jameson, Jeremy and Berit; and three great-grandchildren, Aislynn, Corrine and Aiden. She was born in Worcester, daughter of, Felix and Florence (Lain) Vernowsky.

Florence was a loving mother and grandmother who was dedicated to raising her family and loved seeing and hearing about all of them. She enjoyed wintering in Florida and antiquing through-out New England. She was a member of the West Boylston American Legion Auxiliary and the West Boylston Woman's Club.

A Graveside Service for Family and Friends will be held Saturday, October 21 at 11:00AM in Mount Vernon Cemetery, 32 Church Street, West Boylston. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Congregational Church of Boylston, 10 Church Street, Boylston, 01505.
