Florence E. (Jacobson) Sternlof, 78, of 28 Whipple St. died Saturday, Nov 26 in Saint Vincent Hospital. Her husband, Allyn Q. Sternlof died in 1991. She leaves her sister-in-law, Tora M. Carpenter of Worcester and nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Evald and Ellen (Friden) Jacobson and graduated from Becker Junior College.
Florence was the secretary for Quinsigamond United Methodist Church for many years, before retiring, prior to that she was a secretary at Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, its woman's club and choir, along with her husband, they operated the church nursery and the church youth group, several years ago.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 10 a.m. in Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, 9 Stebbins St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting hours are Tuesday, Nov. 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. at LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, Memorial Fund, 9 Stebbins St., Worcester, 01607.
