AUBURN- Florence A. (Madigan) Sulham, 89, died Tuesday, April 25 at the Woods at Eddy Pond. Her husband, Woodland J. Sulham died in 1987. She leaves three daughters; Maureen C. Mondor of Auburn, Patricia A. Coady of Baltimore, MD and Cathe E. Robichaud of Cape Coral, FL, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers, Francis and Paul Madigan and four sisters, Catherine T. Madigan, Agnes E. Sasso, Eileen Alakones and Alice Brown.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Dennis J. and Anna E. (Hines) Madigan, graduated from South High School and Worcester State College. Mrs. Sulham was a schoolteacher for the Auburn school system for over 20 years and previously banquet manager for Putnam & Thurston. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, past treasurer of the Hospital Guild in Bridgeton, ME, and volunteered at several organizations, including the Laudholm Farm in Wells, ME.
The funeral will be held on Friday, April 28 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford Street, Auburn. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. A visiting hour will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 AM the morning of the funeral in the funeral home.
