Frances H. Gorman

WORCESTER - Frances H. (Savage) Gorman, 84, formerly of 27 Enfield Street, Worcester and 4 Westmont Circle, Shrewsbury, died in her sleep Friday, January 13 in the Hermitage Nursing Center. Her husband of 25 years, Dennis F. Gorman died in 1981. She leaves two sons, Attorney Dennis F. Gorman and his wife, Frances of Paxton and MSgt (ret.) Peter M. Gorman and his wife, Kris of Oxford; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A son, Patrick J. Gorman; a daughter, Mary E. Gorman and a step-daughter, Judith G. Cadrin predeceased her.

Frances was born in Worcester, the youngest of Anthony and Mary (Cekaitis) Savage and was the last surviving child. Frances worked a brief time at the R.H. White Dept. store and A.A. Zamarro & Assoc., both in Worcester. Frances loved spending time with her family, especially holidays. Frances spent a good portion of her life caring for her disabled daughter, Mary. After Mary's passing, she began to travel and was thrilled to have visited her relatives in Lithuania. Frances loved her children fiercely and was a staunch advocate for the intellectually disabled.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff at The Hermitage Golden Living Center, especially Tom, for the wonderful care they provided to Mrs. Gorman over the last several years.

A private family burial service will be held in Saint John's Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Frances' name to the Seven Hills Foundation, 81 Hope Ave, Worcester, MA 01603.
