Gail Thelma (Myers) Saucier, 79, of Worcester, died Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence, with her loving family by her side, after a period of declining health.
Gail leaves her husband of 56 years, Edward A. Saucier of Worcester, their three adoring children; Michele (Saucier) Coakley and her husband Paul Coakley of Millbury, Edward T. Saucier, and his wife Kelley (Tisdell) Saucier of Auburn, and John Saucier and his wife Kimberley (McCullough) Saucier of Waterford, CT.
Gail was the beloved Nannie to her devoted grandchildren; Timothy Coakley and his wife Carissa (Trafecante) of Rutland, Mackenzie Coakley and her fiancé Daniel Lugo, of Oxford, Steven, Emily, and Patrick Saucier all of Auburn, and Catherine, Abigail and Elizabeth Saucier all of Waterford, CT, and four Great Grandchildren; Scarlett, Violett & Juliett Coakley, and soon to be born Baby Lugo. Her other survivors include her loving sister Dawn Karwiel and her husband Robert Karwiel of Sutton, her sister-in-law Linda Saucier and her niece Hannah Saucier. As well as her faithful companion "Nickie."
Mrs. Saucier was born and raised in Worcester. Gail was the daughter of the late Walter and Thelma (Laveulette) Myers. She was a proud graduate of Notre Dame Academy, Worcester, and attended Framingham State College, where she earned Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. Gail worked as a teacher for the Worcester Public School System for 27 years prior to retiring.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, in addition to travelling to her beloved Moody Beach, ME, Disney, Cape Cod, and cruises. She was a passionate reader, avid shopper and a talented scrap booker.
The family would also like to offer our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Rose Monahan Hospice for their kind and loving care of our mother during this extremely difficult time.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 4-7PM in the Callahan Fay and Caswell Life Celebration Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street in Worcester. Her Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Monday October 4, 2021 at 11:30AM. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, in Paxton.
