Gary R. Cesaitis 69, of Worcester died on September 9, 2023 with loving family members at his side in Boston Medical Center, after a long period of declining health.

Gary was born in Worcester, MA to Maryann (DiPadua) & Joseph A. Cesaitis. He was raised his entire life by his mother & step father, Daniel J. Morrissey.

He is predeceased by his parents, MaryAnn (DiPadua) & Daniel J. Morrissey; his brothers, Joseph Cesaitis III, Daniel Morrissey Jr. & a sister, Julie Morrissey.

He leaves behind his Brothers: Paul R. Cesaitis (Cynthia) of Worcester, Robert L. Cesaitis (Eileen), of Millbury, Kevin Morrissey (Nicole) of Rochdale; his sisters: Kathleen Bitzas (Paul), MaryEllen Nuzzetti (Steve) of Worcester & Patricia Morrissey of West Boylston; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews & friends.

Gary attended Boys Trade & completed a Culinary Arts program in Worcester. He was a Chef at local restaurants, Briarwood Retirement Community, and lastly, forced to retire from Autumn Village due to declining health.

He was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed fishing, listening to The Beatles, watching historical movies, science & history documentaries, and correctly answering questions on Jeopardy.

Gary had a big heart, most of all he loved to cook for family & friends. He prided himself making sauce & meatballs to continue Sunday dinners for many years after the death of his mother. His lasagna & stuffing on holidays were unmatched. He also enjoyed baking Italian cookies for Christmas and special occasions.  Throughout the years, Gary showed his creativity decorating many cakes for birthdays. In the summers, at any cookout… he could be found "chef-ing it up" behind the grill.  

 Visiting hours for family and friends will be held Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester from 2:00pm~4:00pm.  A funeral service will begin at 3:30pm.
