WORCESTER- George A. Alin, 48, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Saint Vincent Medical Center.
He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on May 11, 1968 son of the late Jorge W. and Eva P. (Burgos) Alin. At a young age his family moved to Worcester, MA where he attended local schools. George was a graduate of Doherty Memorial High School and went on to attend Central New England College. He worked for Charter Communications for many years before becoming a driver for handicapped adults at Kiessling Transit Company.
He will be forever remembered for his love of 80's music, his appetite for New York Style Pizza and his enjoyment of movies. Above all George cherished most, the time spent with his loving family and friends.
He leaves behind his mother, Eva P. Alin of Worcester; his spouse Laurie Martel; four loving children, Alyssa L. Alin, Kyana M. Alin, Noah J. Alin and Collin M. Rocha, all of Worcester; four sisters, Heidi Palmer and her husband, Michael of Worcester, Glenda Alin of Worcester, Gisselle D'Antillio and her husband, Derek of Shrewsbury and Karen Alin and her wife, Nicole of Shrewsbury; many nieces and nephews; many extended family members and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, August 23rdfrom 5:00pm until 8:00pm at CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 24th at 10:00am at St. Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton St., Worcester. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations may be made in George's name to the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave %232, Norwood, MA 02062 or to Calciphylaxis Research Fund at Massachusetts General Hospital.
