George P. Krikorian

George P. Krikorian, 66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 26th at his residence, following a period of illness.

George was born in Worcester and grew up in Paxton, MA. He was the beloved son of George and Anna (Merzigian) Krikorian. George will be greatly missed by his aunt Pearl McBride of Worcester,  several cousins and his devoted caretakers, Michael, Patty, and Wendell. 

Proudly graduated from Wachusett Regional High School, and Assumption College. After college he could often be found enjoying time with his dad at the family business, Spencer Products, Spencer, MA.

George was an individual with a passion for music, classic TV shows, and old movies, and was affectionately known as the "king of trivia". A lover of all things "The Beatles", he learned to play many of their tunes on guitar and keyboard in order to entertain all who visited. Also a food enthusiast, George liked to travel to restaurants along the Cape for a Sunday afternoon drive or a weekend trip to the casinos to visit one of his favorite eating establishments. 

Family and the holidays were an important part of his life and George took pride in being the host to family for Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter. He loved his Armenian heritage, and Armenian foods which he ate with gusto. George loved a party and loved planning his own birthday celebration each year to include a small group of friends and family all of whom will truly miss celebrating these milestones with him.

George was a member of the Worcester Rotary Club and lifelong member of the Armenian Church of our Saviour where he enjoyed attending summer picnics and fall festivals.

The family would like to thank the aides from Accessible Home Care, Auburn, MA, and the Jewish Healthcare Hospice Team for all their compassionate care.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visiting hour scheduled for Tuesday, July 23rd from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Armenian Church of Our Savior located at 87 Salisbury Street in Worcester, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Hope Cemetery in Worcester.

In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory may be made to The Armenian Church of Our Saviour.
