George E. Streeter, Jr. 55, of West Boylston, formerly of Sterling died Tuesday, June 6, at UMASS Medical Center, after a short illness.

Mr. Streeter was born in Worcester son of George E. and Catherine M. (McGrann) Streeter. George grew up in Sterling and lived there most of his life. He graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and the apprenticeship program at Worcester Vocational School.

He was currently the General Foreman for Local %234 at the Worcester Courthouse. He was a respected 30 year Local %234 Union pipefitter and was the foreman for many projects, including Suffolk County House of Correction in Boston, Mechanics Hall, St. Vincent Hospital, Medical City Hospital, UMASS Memorial, UMASS Medical School, Mass College of Pharmacy, the new Worcester Vocational School and the DCU Center. He was an honorary member of the reenactment society of New England.

Mr. Streeter leaves his beloved mother, Catherine M. Streeter of Sterling, two sons, Michael A. of Key Largo, FL and Steven D. and his wife Sarah of Sterling. He also leaves his best friend, David Erickson and his wife Sonia and children Victoria and Venessa of Worcester. He leaves six sisters, Mary DeFeudis of Northboro, Elizabeth Samuelson of Toledo, OH, Eileen Streeter of Boston, his twin sister, Catherine and her husband Dennis Pearson of West Boylston, Evelyn Geer of Stowe, VT and Anne and her husband Chester Atkins of Holden and two brothers, Joseph and Thomas both of Vermont and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Saturday, June 10, at 11am in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton St., Jefferson. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Sterling. Visiting Hours are private.
