Gerald P. "Jake" "Papa" Bissonnette June 5, 1926-July 26, 2007 passed away surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves his devoted wife of 58 years, Evelyn (Lloyd) Bissonnette; a daughter, Louella and her husband Raymond Frase of Worcester; two grandchildren, Kimberly and her husband Richard Gates and Paul G. "PJ" and his wife Jenn Danault; three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Gates, Ryan Anton and Braydon Gerald Danault and many nieces and nephews. His brothers, Percy, Edmond and George and sisters, Louella, Florence, Doris and Claire, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Philip and Eva (Trudell)Bissonnette and graduated from Worcester Schools and was an altar boy at St. Joseph's Church in Worcester.
Gerald worked for Starr Scrap Metal for 40 years and later worked at Nissan Bakery. He loved working in his yard, dancing, music and western movies, but most of all being with his family. He was a member of Christ the King Church.
The funeral will be held Mon., July 30, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 11 AM in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St. Burial will be private. A Visiting Hour will be held Mon., July 30, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
