Gerald Francis Falvey, age 71, of Worcester, died at home on Friday, March 6, 2020. Born June 30, 1948, in Worcester, he was the son of the late Edmund F. and Nellie M. (Sabonaitis) Falvey.
In 1966, Gerald graduated from Saint John's High School in Shrewsbury. Upon graduating high school, he both attended and graduated from the College of the Holy Cross, in 1970. Later, he would go on to become a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Gerry possessed a keen intellect and excelled in every facet of his professional life. Most recently, he retired from the Worcester Housing Authority.
Gerry was a uniquely charismatic, compassionate, and most generous individual. He was a proverbial people person who often enjoyed meeting new people wherever he went. His greatest treasure in life was not be found in what he acquired materially, but instead, in the depths of the hearts, minds, and souls of those he so generously shared himself with. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to call him a sibling, relative, or friend.
Gerry leaves behind his siblings, Dorothy VanKeuran of West Palm Beach, FL, Carol Fraini and her husband, Frederick of Auburn, David Falvey and his wife, Mary Ann of Shrewsbury, and Sharon Falvey of Shrewsbury; many nephews, nieces and extended family members and friends.
Besides his parents, Gerry was predeceased by seven siblings, Michael Falvey, Kathleen Pescaro, Robert Falvey, Rev. Edmund Falvey, Richard Falvey, Francis Falvey and James Falvey.
Family and friends will gather for visiting hours on Wednesday, March 11th, from 8:30a.m. to 10:00a.m. at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. A funeral Mass will be celebrated by his nephew, Rev. Frederick D. Fraini, III at 10:30a.m. immediately following visiting hours, at Saint John's Church, 44 Temple St. Burial will be in Saint John's Cemetery.
