PRINCETON: Gerald T. “Jerry” Oberhelman, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2026, in his home, after a period of declining health.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Carolyn N. (Johnson) Oberhelman; three children, Chet, Troy and Andrea Oberhelman; two grandchildren, April and Jillian; and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Phyllis and Shirley.

Jerry was born in Leechburg, Pennsylvania, son of the late Jennifer Oberhelman. He lived most of his life in Massachusetts, including Framingham and Princeton. A man of many talents, Jerry had a passion for carpentry, where he showcased his skills in renovating his home with great pride. His interests extended to car repair and gardening. He also enjoyed following the stock market.

A Calling Hour will be held from 11 until 12PM, with a Funeral Service at 12PM, on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. Burial will be private at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Holden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Venerini Sisters, 23 Edward St., Worcester, MA 01605
