Geraldine G. Coleman, 79, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2026, after a courageous six-month battle with cancer. She was sadly predeceased by her beloved son, Kevin P. Coleman in 2017.

Geraldine was born in Ireland, the daughter of the late Rose (Muckian) and Peter Keenan, both of whom were also from Ireland. She was extremely proud of her Irish heritage, carrying her love for her homeland and her family with her throughout her life.

After graduating from Ascension High School in Worcester, Geraldine went on to have a long and dedicated career as a manager for the First Student Bus Company, where she worked for many years serving both the Berlin and Boylston areas. She took pride in the responsibility of ensuring students were safely transported to and from school.

Geraldine had a deep love for the ocean and the beach, especially cherishing her time in Duxbury and on Cape Cod. She enjoyed being near the water and treasured the peaceful and happy moments spent there.

Above all, Geraldine’s greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and her large extended family. She enjoyed dinners and cook outs with her daughter’s and son’s family. These gatherings were among her most treasured memories, filled with laughter, conversation and the love that meant so much to her.

Geraldine leaves behind many that will miss her deeply including her children Christoper M. Coleman, his wife Wendy and their children Allison, Amanda, Grace and Peter of Duxbury; Colleen T. Simonelli, her husband Michael and their children Michael and Gianna of Shrewsbury; and grandchildren from Kevin P. Coleman (predeceased), Ian, Everett, Audrey and Ellis of Floyds Knobs, Indiana. She was predeceased by her infant grandson Kieran Coleman. She will also be greatly missed by her sister, Maura Horgan, and her brothers Peter Keenan, Brendan Keenan, Kevin Keenan, Michael Keenan and their spouses and children. She was predeceased by her son, parents, and sister Ann (Keenan) Corder.

Family and friends are welcomed to a celebration of her life with visiting hours Friday, October 2nd from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston.
