WORCESTER-Geraldine L. (Lynch) Stone, 97, passed away Thursday, August 26 in the Alliance Health Center in Baldwinville.
She was born on January 9, 1924 in Worcester, daughter of George F. and Helen B. (Martin) Lynch and lived many years on Institute and Westbrook Road. After graduating from Commerce High School and the Salter Secretarial School, Geraldine finished her education at Becker Junior College. She became a highly respected executive secretary well known for her high excellence and proficiency at speed typing and short hand.
Geraldine worked at the Worcester Foundation for Biomedical Research, before retiring. Some of her interest were, playing the piano, reading, knitting and listening to music. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, days at the ocean and in her younger days, playing a good round of golf.
She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Stone and her daughters, Helen Hamilton and Deborah Daunais. She leaves three sons, Martin and wife Judy Stone of Templeton, William Stone of Edisto Island, SC and Philip and wife Suzy Stone of Providence, RI; seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
