SHREWSBURY- Gerard Anthony McWeeney, Jr. ("Jerry"), passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Worcester Health Center. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Nancy (Raymond) McWeeney who passed away in 1999.

Jerry was born in Brookline on July 17, 1937, son of Gerard and Margaret (Kelly) McWeeney. He attended Northeastern University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a Master's in Business Administration. He served as a First Lieutenant in the Army Reserves Signal Corps until 1967. He was an electrical engineer at MIT / Charles Stark%C2%A0Draper Laboratory until his retirement.

He leaves behind two loving sons and their families, Gerard A. McWeeney, III. and his wife Kathy of Shrewsbury; James McQueeney and his wife Sarah of Osprey, FL; his grandchildren, Rachael Clay and her husband, Zachary of Raleigh, NC., Ryan McWeeney of Broomfield, CO., Molly, Michael and Lucy McQueeney, all of Osprey, FL; one great grandchild, Finnegan Clay; his siblings, John McWeeney and his wife Marilyn of Lexington, Claire Hogarty, wife of the late Edward Hogarty of West Roxbury, and Margo McWeeney and her wife, Grace Low of East Boston, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to join Mr. McWeeney's Life Celebration on Thursday, February 1st with visiting hours from 9:30 am until 11:00 am at FAY BROTHERS Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., West Boylston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
