Gezelda Genelli

October 29, 1912 — April 7, 2010

WEST BOYLSTON-Gezelda Genelli, 97 passed away Thursday, April 7 at Oakdale Nursing Home.

She leaves three nephews, Robert J. Fratturelli of Columbus, OH, Joseph Genelli of Clinton and Howard T. Mariotti of Jefferson. She also leaves many grandnieces and grandnephews. Two sisters, Louisa Mariotti and Palma Fratturelli and two brothers, John and Julius Genelli predeceased her.

Gezelda was born in West Boylston the daughter of Joseph and Amalia (Gambini) Genelli and lived her entire life in the same house in which she was born. She attended West Boylston Schools. Gezelda worked for U.S. Envelope for many years before retiring. She loved West Boylston and enjoyed sitting in her yard admiring Wachusett Reservoir and would often take long walks around it. She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed by all of them. She was a long time member of our Lady of Good Counsel Church.

A visiting hour will be held on Friday, April 9 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W. Boylston St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. www.faybrothers.com.
