Gladys L. (Larson) Anderson, 90, formerly of Ekman and Kosta Sts. died Saturday, July 29 at Knollwood Nursing Center surrounded by her family.
Her husband, Henry W. Anderson died in 1980. She leaves a son, Glenn A. and his wife Charlene Anderson of Sutton; three grandchildren, Jonathan and his wife, Kathleen Anderson, Alisa and Jason Anderson all of Sutton; one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Hartwick “Happy” Larson and two sisters, Mildred Rawson and Ellen Ballou predeceased her.
She was born in East Douglas the daughter of Ernst and Elin Larson and spent most of her life in Worcester. Gladys was a graduate of Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing and went on to work as a Registered Nurse at the Hospital. She was a member of Salem Covenant Church and was a former member of Quinsigamond United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for over 30 years. Gladys loved crafts and going to flea markets. She was a loving caring woman who loved spending time with family and friends.
