Gloria M. Lier earned her heavenly reward on May 26, 2018 at Beaumont Rehabilitation in Westborough, MA. Born in Worcester to Eric and Mary (Trainor) Johnson, she grew up surrounded by the Johnson family of Trowbridge Ct. and the Webster Square area. After her parents perished in the Cocoanut Grove fire of 1942, she lived with her Uncle Roy and Aunt Hilda Johnson. She then moved to New York City to attend the Traphagen School of Fashion. Her keen fashion sense and kindly spirit was evident as she helped customers at Denholm & McKay and Cherry Webb & Touraine.
Her husband Harold died in 1965. Gloria raised four children in North Oxford, MA. She then returned to Worcester. Shopping, listening to wonderful music, and using her computer kept her going. At 93 years old, her independence, fitness, and tenacity inspired all who met her. Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
