Gloria Schofield

October 22, 1937 — February 17, 2025

 

WORCESTER: Gloria A. (Casillo) Schofield, 87, died peacefully Monday, February 17th, 2025.

Born in Worcester, Gloria was the youngest of eight children to the late Stanley and Amelia (Romano) Casillo. Gloria was predeceased by her son, Brian Schofield, and daughter, Gloria Latino. She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Alden Schofield; her cherished daughter Karen Spitaels and her husband Michael of West Newton; and seven grandchildren.

 Gloria was very proud of her Italian heritage and she made friends everywhere she went. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and sharing food with those she loved. Gloria belonged to the Worcester County Model 'A' Club. She enjoyed traveling and visited many destinations with Alden. Her grandchildren were lights of her life, and she loved the time they spent together. She resided at Oasis at Dodge Park in Worcester for the past two months, and her family is grateful to the staff for their exceptional care and kindness.

 Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Friday, February 21st from 5-7PM at Callahan Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 22nd at 10AM at Christ the King Church,1052 Pleasant Street, Worcester and burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
