Grace E. (Gadaire) Lemay, 78, of 5 Melissa Lane died Thursday, March 3, in Florida Medical Center.
She leaves her husband of 56 years, Bertrand Lemay; two sons, Paul and his wife Marjorie Lemay of Nashua, NH and Edward and his wife Marion of Oxford; two daughters, Ann Marie and her husband Bill LaCour of West Lynn, OR and Elizabeth and her husband Roger Sargentelli of Worcester; two sisters, Lucy and her husband Richard Farrell of Noblesville, IN and Julia and her husband Robert Roy of Paxton; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A brother, Eugene Gadaire, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Raymond and Grace (Babbitt) Gadaire and graduated from St. Peter's High School.
Grace was an executive housekeeper for Days Inn for many years, retiring in 1980, prior to that she was an operator for the Telephone Company. She enjoyed wintering inTamarac, Florida.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, March 8, from LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 3 Wiser Ave., Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling Hours are Monday, March, 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, the Boston Children's Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston, MA 02115.
