Gregory A. Stidsen

d. March 1, 2018

Gregory A. Stidsen, 56, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester.
Greg was born and raised in Worcester a son of the late Shirley A. (Berggren) Kenneth W. Stidsen of Worcester. Following his graduation from Burncoat High School, Greg joined his father in the family business, K.W. Stidsen Oil of Worcester for several years. He then worked for Colby Materials and recently, worked as the lead mechanic for Nyacol Nano Technologies in Ashland. Greg's affinity to people and desire to spend time outdoors led to many camping and snowmobiling trips with family and friends. He enjoyed cheering on the Boston sports teams, and especially loved spending a fall day watching the Patriots. On many weekends, Greg found time to enjoy one of his favorite sports, NASCAR. A talented baseball pitcher throughout his life, Greg looked forward to the warm days and evenings of spring and summer and the countless hours spent on the mound and rounding the bases of many area diamonds. His greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his father, Kenneth, Greg will be forever loved and missed by his beloved wife of 34 years, Diane (Young) Stidsen; his three children, Danielle L. Stidsen of Webster, Brianna A. Leite and her husband, Shawn of Methuen and Stefan W. Stidsen of Canaan, CT; his two brothers, Brian E. Stidsen and his wife, Paula of Rutland and Kenneth W. Stidsen, Jr. and his wife, Claire of Sterling; his four grandchildren, Aleeah and Addison Leatham, Arya Leite and the late Luke Leatham; his faithful four-legged friend, Zoey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit with Greg's family on Tuesday, March 6th from 4-7 p.m. at the Lindquist-Lundin Funeral Home, 36 Butler Street, Worcester, with a brief prayer service to be held at the conclusion of the visitation.
