WINNETKA, CA - Haikanouche (Karaoghlanian) Yaghmourian, 89, formerly of Worcester died peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in California. She was born in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Hagop and Shahnar Karaoghlanian.
Haiko, as her family knew her, moved to America as a young woman. She worked for many years at the former Montrose Products, later Montrose/CDT in Auburn before retiring. A woman of strong faith, he was an active member of Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church in Worcester and enjoyed reading the Bible. She was also a wonderful cook and created many beautiful knitted items for her family. For Haiko, spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and later, her great grandchildren brought her the most joy.
Haiganoush leaves her son, Vazken Yaghmourian and his wife, Adrine ( Bekiarian) Yaghmourian of Rutland, MA and their children, Ani Yaghmourian and Hovsep Yaghmourian of Rutland, MA and Alin (Yaghmourian) and her husband, Sevag Sarkisian of Grafton, MA; her son, Varoujan Yaghmourian and his wife, Markrit (Touloumjian) of Winnetka, CA, with whom she has lived for 11 years and their children, Tamar (Yaghmourian) and her husband, Luis Moreno, Maral (Yaghmourian) and her husband, Vigen Abrahamian, and Salpi ( Yaghmourian) and her husband, Fiquin Ordoghlian, all of California; her daughter, Armig ( Yaghmourian) Habibian of Worcester MA and her children, Houri ( Habibian) and her husband, Koko Papazian of Chicago IL, Manoug and Talin Habibian of Washington DC and Chris Habibian of Washington DC; her daughter, Sue (Yaghmourian) Mastro of Worcester and her children, Shahan ( Mastro ) and her husband, Tim Elliot of California and James Mastro of Worcester; as well as her11 great grandchildren, Sevana Sosse and Tsoleen Papazian, Charlie Habibian, Tatiana and Isabela Moreno, Alex Abrahamian Varoujan Ordighlian Clark and Baby Grant Elliot and Baby Aram Sarkisian. She also leaves behind a brother, Garbis Karaoghlanian of Toronto, Canada and a nephew, Hagop and a niece, Talin, also of Toronto.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral service for Haiko on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 635 Grove Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Donations, in lieu of flowers may be made to the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 635 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
